Lilo & Stitch Wiki

Skippity is an alien who appeared in the Chinese animated spin-off Stitch & Ai. He is an amateurish spy who designed a weapon called a "Dream Beam" that brings a target's dreams to life, and previously worked with the Woolagongs to capture Stitch. He only appears in "Dream On".

Background[]

Skippity appears to the Woolagongs as Commander Platypus was expressing his anger and frustration towards his soldiers over their seeming inability to capture Experiment 626 (Stitch), having overheard him asking if they had any intelligence on 626. He tells them that 626 was having bad dreams and has invented a weapon called a "Dream Beam" that will cause 626's nightmares to come to life. Although Commander Platypus was initially skeptical of and annoyed by Skippity, the Dream Beam convinces him to send the little alien to go out and use it on 626.

Skippity then finds Stitch on the yard at Ai's school riding on a boy's skateboard that the experiment stole. After getting a clear shot of Stitch, just as Ai and the skateboard's owner is running up to the experiment to stop him, Skippity fires the Dream Beam at Stitch. The beam's energy causes a colorful explosion of smoke, which knocks Stitch, Ai, and the boy down. Skippity, who was knocked back by the beam's recoil, believes he successfully hit Stitch and decides to follow the experiment back to Ai's House to see the beam take effect.

Outside Jumba's ship, Skippity, hiding behind a tree sees Stitch exit the spaceship and is ready to capture the experiment. However, Stitch, who has somehow instantly hidden himself in the container, pulls Skippity into the container and traps him. The experiment then goes back inside the ship and shows the captured spy to Jumba and Pleakley. After catching his breath, Skippity then tells what happened at Ai's school. Jumba examines Stitch and finds that Skippity's Dream Beam didn't even hit Stitch, as the experiment's brain patterns remain unaltered. After Jumba gets a video call from Jiejie, who says that Ai is absent from school, the aliens then realize that the Dream Beam hit Ai instead. Jumba, Stitch, Pleakley, Skippity, Dim Long, and Jumba's newly created mo then fly on Jumba's hovercraft towards the location of Ai's cell phone.

At a stopover during the journey, with Stitch and the mo having ran off to search for Ai on the ground, Skippity confesses to Jumba that he wanted to be a veterinarian but his mother dissuaded him, having told him that spying "is a more stable career".

Eventually, the aliens find Ai, and Jumba tells her that she was hit by Skippity's beam, which explains why her dreams came to life. Skippity reveals himself to her and apologizes for getting "carried away with the whole 'spy in the sky' thing." After the mo eats Stitch's nightmares and Ai, Jumba, Pleakley, and Stitch return home, Jumba has Skippity stay in Jumba's parallel dimension due to the now ex-spy's love of animals. Skippity is last seen entering the dimension from Jumba's ship with the mo Jumba made, getting swarmed by a whole family of mo, much to the alien's happiness.

Personality[]

Skippity is a friendly and somewhat silly alien who tries to come across as a skilled and confident spy. He likes to rhyme when he's bragging about himself, and believed that rhyming is part of the spying job until Pleakley told him otherwise. However, his confidence was shattered when Stitch was easily able to capture him. He easily folded to Stitch, Jumba, and Pleakley by confessing his mission, and admitted to them that he is "not a very good spy", with Jumba outright telling him that he's also a poor shot, since his "Dream Beam" failed to hit Stitch as intended.

Skippity also admitted to Jumba that he loves animals and wanted to pursue a veterinarian career, but his mother disapproved of that and forced him to take on the supposedly better-paying career of a spy, which further explains his poor spying skills. This worked out for him in the end with Jumba's decision to send him to his parallel dimension where he keeps his Chinese experiments. Despite the lack of spying skills, Skippity is nonetheless rather intelligent, having uncovered Stitch having nightmares and created the Dream Beam to try to take advantage of them, and his memory is good enough where he is able to remember Ai by her topknot.

Biology[]

Physical appearance[]

Skippity is a short cyan alien with three short, thick digits on each of his hands and feet. He has dark lavender markings in the region of his eye sockets rimmed with eyebrows on top, similar to Jumba and his experiments, as well as on his chin, which makes him look like he has a goatee. He has a purple mouth with a pinkish tongue with two buckteeth sticking out of his mouth. He wears an orange spacesuit covering his entire body except his face, yellow gloves and boots that have teal pads, and dark orange goggles with mismatching lens, with the left lens being of a single pale green color with a crosshair, and the right lens having four differently colored panel in different shades of the same pale green in an H pattern. Based on the shape of his headpiece, he appears to have a three-pronged head. Although he worked for the Woolagongs, he is not of their species, as he lacks their platypus-like attributes.

Paraphernalia[]

Skippity carries a teal container with a pale yellow-and-green striped panel and an orange button on the front. A green strap attached to the container allows him to carry it like a messenger bag. Pressing the orange button on the contain opens and closes the panel, allowing him to store and seal its contents. The container can inexplicably carry more than what it can hold or fit; among other things, he's pulled out a toilet plunger that's longer than the container's width, and both Stitch and Skippity himself were somehow able to fit inside, although the latter was squished when the former opened the container in front of Jumba and Pleakley. Considering that Skippity had to breathe after freeing himself from the container, it's likely that the container's seal is airtight. Besides the aforementioned plunger, the container also carried an alien monkey wrench and a green shoe, although he disposed of all of them.

The container also contained a spyglass that he used to spy on Stitch from the roof of Ai's school.

His main invention is a raygun called the "Dream Beam". It allows the user to fire a powerful beam of non-lethal energy that causes whoever it hits to have their dreams come to life, which included Ai's imaginary friend Cheng Fei. Its effects does eventually wear out after an unspecified amount of time. The beam has a strong recoil, as Skippity was knocked back when he fired it, and causes an explosion of colorful smoke to appear when it hits, knocking down those in its vicinity. The Dream Beam gun was also stored in the aforementioned container when it was not in use.
