Lionel Nerdlinger, named Yoshio Atama in the Japanese original, is a character introduced in Stitch! ~Best Friends Forever~ (the anime's third season).
Personality[]
He is a student from a school called Clever Prep (Clever Academy in Japanese). Like Dolores, he is incredibly smart, claiming to have an IQ of 165 (120 in the Japanese original), and they have a friendly rivalry in terms of intelligence. Apparently, he was Dolores' only friend before she had Yuna. Lionel took part in the Golden Quiz to compete against Dolores but lost, admitting that Dolores is more intelligent and is impressed by her. On Valentine's Day, they confessed their love to each other when they were imprisoned inside Fudgy.
Background and appearances[]
In "A Very Stinky Christmas", Yuna and Stitch see Lionel walking along with Dolores and discussing which equations they will give each other to solve. Yuna then sees Dolores in her room writing a present for Lionel and Dolores is embarrassed and afraid that everyone knows she is in love with him.
Trivia[]
- Lionel is somewhat similar to Taro from the anime's first season, as they both wear glasses, have black hair, have white colors in their clothes, and neither of them are very talkative.
- However, he has a wider range of knowledge, since Taro is more interested in biology than in other sciences.
- In the English dub, he speaks with a German accent.
