"Hello - Goodbye" (你好黄山; lit. "Hello Huangshan") is the premiere episode of the Chinese animated series Stitch & Ai. It first aired in China with a Mandarin dub on March 27, 2017, while the original English version first aired in Southeast Asia on February 5, 2018.
Plot[]
Stitch is held captive on a spaceship above Earth by a faction of space criminals called the Jaboodies who want to use him. However, a rival faction called the Woolagongs attack the ship wanting Stitch for themselves, accidentally freeing him in the process and allowing him to escape back to Earth. Upon re-entering Earth's atmosphere, Stitch lands in China's Huangshan mountains, where he meets a Chinese girl named Wang Ai Ling who has been told by her aunt Daiyu that she will be moving out of the mountains to live in a city. The two quickly bond as the girl shows the blue alien around the mountains, but they soon find themselves pursued by the factions still going after Stitch.

- The hyphen in the episode's English title spaced between the words "Hello" and "Goodbye" is likely meant to represent a minus sign, meaning that the title is probably meant to be pronounced as "Hello Minus Goodbye".
- The English title itself is in reference to the episode's final scene in which Ai tells Stitch that she "barely got to say hello to [him]," and since because Daiyu plans to move her soon, she will "have to say goodbye." She writes on the dirt "再见" (zàijiàn; "goodbye"), only for Stitch to cross it out and then write "你好" (nǐ hǎo; "hello") in response, telling her, "[They'll] find a way to stay [in the mountains]."
