The Fenghuang, also called the Phoenix, is an illegal genetic experiment created by Jumba Jookiba, and the seventh experiment he created in China based on what he learns in ancient Chinese scrolls.
Background[]
"The Phoenix"[]
After receiving the ancient scrolls, Jumba was inspired to create a genetic experiment based on the Chinese mythical creatures that were in the scroll. This time, Jumba decided to create a fenghuang to find the shrine Stitch was looking for. He created a small phoenix, but it quickly grew and flew away. Later, he was hunted by alien bounty hunters Noo-Bing and Zi. However, Stitch and Ai manage to find and protect the phoenix from the two hunters. In the end, the phoenix leads them to a temple that, although it is not the shrine Stitch is looking for, has a painting on its grounds that prophesizes Stitch transforming into a huge monster. He was later sent to a parallel dimension inhabited by various mythological creatures.
"Monstrosity"[]
In this episode, the fenghuang and some other Chinese experiments were summoned from a parallel dimension to battle the Jaboodies.
Personality[]
The fenghuang is a proud and freedom-loving creature. He was initially distrustful of Stitch, but Stitch later manages to gain his trust. He is also ready to help his friends if necessary.
Biology[]
Physical appearance[]
The fenghuang is a large bird, though he was initially created small. It has five plumage colors that symbolize the five virtues. It has feathered wings, a beak, and a crest, as well as a cockerel-like tail.
Special abilities[]
The fenghuang has the ability to fly, as well as find an ancient temple from where other phoenixes originated.
Weaknesses[]
It has no power, so it is vulnerable to weapons and can be easily caught, tied up, and frozen.
Trivia[]
- The fenghuang is based on the Chinese mythological creature called the fenghuang.
- The five colors of its plumage symbolize the five virtues.
- It is also unknown if it possesses other phoenix abilities, such as burning itself and being reborn. However, as those abilities are affiliated with Western phoenixes, it most likely does not.
