Lilo & Stitch Wiki

"Dragon Parade" (同心锁) is the sixth episode of Stitch & Ai. It first aired in Mandarin on March 30, 2017, and in English on February 14, 2018.

Plot[]

Dahu is assigned to lead the town's annual Chinese New Year dragon parade. A dragon puppet for the parade is ruined by accident when Meiying and her friends accidentally burn it while taking smartphone photos, so Ai has Jumba substitute the puppet by having Dim Long temporarily enlarged to take its place. Meanwhile, Stitch tricks the Jaboodies and the Woolagongs to invade Earth at the same time to get him, causing them to fight and severely damage each other at the end.

Trivia[]

Stitch & Ai - Dragon Parade - February 4 gets crossed off

The calendar seen in the episode, showing February 8 to be the date of Chinese New Year and the town's dragon parade and a Leap Day (February 29), thus indirectly proving the episode to be set in 2016.

  • The montage of Ai's town preparing for the Chinese New Year shows a calendar featuring the month of February with days being crossed off as each day passes, beginning from February 3, leading to the Chinese New Year circled on February 8. The calendar also shows a February 29 (leap day). Considering the period of time when Stitch & Ai was produced, it can be said that the events of the episode take place from February 3 to 8, 2016, as that year was both a leap year and the most recent year to have the Chinese New Year be on February 8 on the Gregorian calendar; the next Chinese New Year to be held on a February 8 won't happen until 2035.
    • This also makes Stitch & Ai the first work in the Lilo & Stitch franchise to explicitly (albeit indirectly) show exactly when it takes place, including the year. There were also episodes of Lilo & Stitch: The Series and Stitch! that took place on or around holidays, but they never specified a year.
  • This is the only episode where the human characters wear longer clothes (for colder weather) for their casual outfits; said clothes are variants of their regular outfits.
